Mental Health Vs Toxicity

We all know someone who’s constantly in a toxic relationship.
We can attempt to show the bigger picture
And hope they’ll wake up from their nightmare.
What makes an emotionally damaging relationship toxic?
Is it one-sided or do all parties
Contribute something?
Mental health and toxicity go hand in hand.
When we care about someone’s well-being
We ask,
“What’s wrong?”
However,
If someone does something irrational/illogical
(Perhaps considered toxic)
We exclaim,
“What’s wrong with you?!”
You may believe you’re a rational, level-headed person who knows better.
If your toxic partner is doing something illogical,
Should we assume they may not be in the healthiest state of mind?
When you realize it could be a mental health issue,
Most people unknowingly add kerosene to the fire
by affirming their irrational behavior (“You’re crazy!”).
Are they toxic or are they actually struggling?
