Keeping it Brief = Keeping it Brilliant

I’m guilty of this.

I’ve been guilty of talking too much.

Maybe I like to hear myself talk

Or maybe I think I should fill the void of silence before it gets awkward.

Maybe I have an important point you must know

But I have a backstory that explains it, otherwise you may not understand my message.

No matter how important we think our words are,

Once their eyes glaze over and they zone out like a zombie,

You lost them.

We must use BREVITY when we communicate as if we’re speaking to a child.

Kids’ attention spans are difficult to maintain.

Get your point across QUICKLY.

Over time, your simple responses may seem more profound than you think.

That’s why all my blogs are brief!

Bonus tip: If you overdo the talking,

You may reveal too much about yourself.
