Mental Health Book Review: Psycho-Cybernetics

“Psycho-Cybernetics” is a self-help book written by Dr. Maxwell Maltz (Who was also a plastic surgeon).

What I found fascinating was how many of his patients transformed their appearance (via plastic surgery)

And yet, their happiness didn’t change.

The book’s main takeaway is that your self-image can determine your self-worth.

In other words, your life and your mindset is like a machine.

You're able to change/engineer your success through your thoughts and beliefs about yourself.

Your self-image doesn't have to reflect your physical appearance.

Rather, your self-image can reflect on your belief about your attitude and mindset on how to approach life.

What this also means is if you beat yourself up on the inside,

No matter how good you look on the outside,

Your success can self-destruct instead of being engineered to handle any crisis.

Reverse-engineer your old habits.
